Seeing Alexander Wang's Spring 2016 Presentation, it's immediately obvious how unobtrusive Wang's menswear designs are—and that's not a bad thing.

Looking over all of the looks from the collection, there's a distinct workwear feeling. Maybe it's the A-2 jackets strewn throughout the collection. Maybe it's the olive chore coat. It's certainly found in the pair of jet black canvas overalls. Wang was clearly inspired by the classic menswear cues: military-meets-workwear.

Even the detailing is on point, with chest patches that'd look at home on a trucker's jacket or a auto repairman's workshirt.

But utility doesn't necessarily negate luxury, and with buttery suedes, and shiny silks as the fabrics of choice for everything from duster coats to bomber jackets, Alexander Wang is still reminding viewers that he's far more than a NYC-based basics brand.

Wang's greatest strength lies in his ability to quietly assimilate his work into the closets of his most ardent fans, and "fashion newcomers" alike. Spring 2016 is no exception.
