If Yohji is involved in making a video, we'll probably post it. And since today is the Tuesday after a long weekend, you already know our editorial standards are dropping down lower than they already are. So, naturally, here's a video of Yohji Yamamoto saying philosophical things about clothing and sneakers in honor of Y-3 dropping a French Open-inspired Roland Garros collection with Adidas Tennis. Y-3 will have two players laced in its gear: Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Ana Ivanovic. It's kinda crazy that people will actually be wearing Y-3 in a true sporting competition, right? We're all so used to just stunting Y-3 on the streets that we lose sight of the fact that its actually an activewear-inspired line that can be worn while playing real, actual sports. 2015 is popping.

The best part of all this is how Yohji's script reads if you transcribe it all out. It's a serene set of lines that you could use as inspiration every morning to wake up, get dressed and brave another day in the harsh cruel world:

Creation means making something new.

Making something exciting.

How fast can you run?

How do you make a trick?

Act until maximum?

When player makes action which they have never done before

It's a miracle.

Speed? It's a gift.

We should make movement, new movement.

If we create something, we have to win.

You need some chaos which has to be swallowed by new power.

Movement is the trend

Be born, be fashionable and be sexy.

Calm down. Be yourself.

Game, set, match, Yohji.
