A few weeks ago, John Varvatos announced that he would bring his menswear runway show back to New York for the upcoming New York Fashion Week: Men's after calling Milan home for quite some time. It was an important get, providing a solid chip to play with when it comes to hyping up the event's importance in its rookie season. Well, another big player just got on board as well. According to WWD, Tommy Hilfiger will be presenting menswear in London and New York this summer.
That London Collections: Men presentation will be a more intimate affair, the designer says, just showing the collection at the brand's showroom to retailers and editors. Tommy's presence at NYFW: Men's, on the other hand, will be much more blow out with a specially built off-site presentation scheduled for July 15th. Whether you think Tommy is relevant to your interests or just a brand stocked at your local Kohl's, this is pretty fucking big news. I mean, the brand had a huge year, their runway designs are consistently underrated and it could help encourage other big names to bring their presentations and show stateside, especially if they're based here already.
