Model Gigi Hadid is one of the many celebrities featured in Taylor Swift's upcoming video for "Bad Blood", which will also include cameos from Kendrick Lamar, Jessica Alba, and Karlie Kloss. Each one is set to play a character in the Sin City-esque video, and given a corresponding name. Swift unveiled that Hadid's character name is "Slay Z," which takes inspiration from one of the most powerful couples in music, Cosmopolitan reports.
"I'm kind of obsessed with Beyoncé, and we wanted to do a play on Jay Z, so it actually came from Jay Z, and we made it Slay-Z," Hadid told Cosmopolitan. "That's how we got Slay-Z." You probably could have made that connection based on how close the names are, but it never hurts to get the info directly from the source.
Hadid also spoke a bit on the making of the video. "We filmed our part of the video and there was a separate room that was just for making the posters, where we would go and have our photo shoot," she said.
The video is set to premiere this Sunday, May 17.
