There are so many different late night shows that I've totally lost track of where everyone is. Jay Leno is gone? Jimmy Fallon isn't on SNL anymore? Letterman is retiring? Stephen Colbert is a real person again? Who the fuck is James Corden? Wait, what ever happened to Conan? Whatever, man. Endless shuffling aside, Illuminati gawdess and professional comedian Anna Wintour popped up on Late Night with Seth Myers last night as both a proper guest (she critiqued the various Met Gala fits) and willing sketch participant.
The premise is simple: Seth Meyers comes to Anna for guidance when it comes to the show's script. As it turns out, she's a comedic genius despite her notoriously icy demeanor. She rewrites the script to put Abraham Lincoln driving a Lincoln automobile because Seth couldn't come up with that zinger on his own and does everything to please her. She's convincing and pretty funny in the part because the public perception of Anna is that she's a heartless, sunglasses hoarding bitch. It's clear that she's in on the joke. Unimpeachable legend status confirmed.
