International Woolmark Prize Nominees Announced, Four Pins-Approved Brands Abound

None

Public School won the last International Woolmark Prize, keep with the trend of them basically winning every single fashion competition on the calendar. Today, Woolmark just announced the nominees for this year's competition and it's full of brands that you've seen on here once or twice, or at least when we pop a 'gram at New York Fashion Week. Woolmark runs a little bit differently than other fashion accolades. It's international, selecting a handful of brands from around the world and divided them up into their respective regions. You can see the full list of nominees via the link above, but here are the menswear designers that matter to us:

-Patrick Johnson from Australia has a nice cult following surrounding his original suiting.

-Both Agi & Sam and Craig Green from the British Isles territory continue their explosion onto the scene.

-David Obadia's Paris-based Harmony gets a its first huge cosign.

-Rick Owens prodigy Thamanyah is nominated from the India & Middle East region

-GQ BNMDA 2015 nominee David Hart, goth and denim specialist Siki Im and upscale boho maestro Thaddeus O'Neil represent the United States.

The nominees will present a collection to a judging panel that includes Tim Blanks, Paul Smith and Nick Wooster with the winner receiving $40,100 in prize money before moving on to compete against other regional winners. The ultimate International Woolmark Prize winner will receive another $80,200.
