We’re well aware that five-panel caps are FairEnds’ bread and butter, but for Spring/Summer 2015, the NYC-based brand is rolling out a special sunglass range made in collaboration with Steven Alan.

As part of the Steven Alan Optical collection, this project is comprised of two styles that deftly fuse each brand’s distinct aesthetic. One of the frames, Indigo Sun, was inspired by FairEnds’ iconic hand-dyed indigo polka dot cap, as it features a sharp polka dot pattern printed on black acetate. The second style, Glacier, is a deep blue design that was based on the “intrinsic simplicity” found in FairEnds’ goods; when the frame is placed in the sun, it gives off a subtle glow that was inspired by the Glacier National Park—a favorite spot for FairEnds’ founders Ben Ferencz and Martin Carvajal.

Both sunglasses feature handmade Italian acetate, rose gold double barrel hinges, 100 percent polarized/UVA/UVB protective lenses, and laser-engraved co-branding. And to ensure your shade always look on point, each purchase also comes with a Steven Alan carrying case and a FairEnds Birds of Paradise print protective microfiber sleeve.

Check out the two styles in the images below. The capsule will drop May 15 and will be available at Bloomingdale's, Steven Alan locations, and Steven Alan’s online store
