Robert Geller Fall/Winter 2015 Is So Good We Had To Run It Back

None

I mean, we could have just let this go since it was back during New York Fashion Week. We could have done that. But we didn't. Nah, we retreated to the Fortress of Solitude to reflect and ruminate on how just how fucking excellent Robert Geller's F/W 15 collection is. Let's run it back. If you haven't read our profile on the man himself, you should do that asap as it provides some real context to the bangers you see before you. This whole thing is sporty without being athletic. A lot of times we get bogged down with the idea of "sportswear," but that genre of men's clothing has a long history that isn't merely relegated to the gear we wear when we actually play sports. So, please neuralyze your entire shit before proceeding. Robert Geller F/W 15 is true, unadulterated, high-octane sportswear. Think: topcoats, cropped trousers, colorful and floral silk shirts, short parkas and simple topcoats. The reds and blues here really launch the clothes to a new level. We're used to the dark blues and greys, but an actual color story—that so many designers talk about about, but ultimately shit the bed on—is evident here. Of course, there's also another Common Projects collabo on deck with strapped derby shoes and ankle-zip boots, both of which are certified flamez. Honestly, if this doesn't make you want to get all your trousers hemmed up to the bottom of your calves, you have a stronger will than I do.
