Kendall Jenner just landed another editorial in the upcoming issue of V magazine, which features Rihanna on the cover. However, as she said in  the Summer 2015 issue of Vthere was a time when the reality star was struggling to land any work, and she says that her career got off to a slow start because of her famous family.

"You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back," Jenner told V. "It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager. I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld, and Katie Grand, who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity. My parents taught me that work ethic is one of the most important keys in life, and I believe it."

That foursome Kendall mentions have all helped propel the model into superstardom. Kendall was named the face of Jacobs' latest campaign, while Tisci and Lagerfeld have also included Kendall in their labels' promotional materials. Grand is the Editor-in-Chief of LOVE Magazinewhich has featured Kendall on multiple occasions

However, it hasn't always been easy for Kendall. Other models have reportedly put cigarettes out in her drink during NYFW, and blasted her using her last name to become successful. Kendall has handled these situations with a great deal of humor, and continues to win by landing coveted gigs, including a campaign with Calvin Klein.
