Not Available Lead

A recent study has found that while handsome men are more likely to succeed in just about every area of life, they are at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to the hiring process. It's called "beauty bias" and it goes the exact opposite way you think it would. But, as you can clearly tell from the headline, you fucking mouth breathers have nothing to worry about.

The research comes out of an organizational behavior study that asked people to evaluate men and women who were both unattractive and attractive. While there's the obvious "dumb blonde" stereotype that has fallen on the shoulders of good looking, golden-locked women, attractive men are perceived as more competent than ugly men. So, yeah, for sure, more not-so-low-key sexism. BUT—and that's a big but—this also plays into workplace relationships. When good looking men are recruited for roles that you'd be working with, rather than competing against, they're more likely to be hired. But if they're viewed as competitors within the workforce, say, in a sales role, they aren't desirable hires because they'd provide more competition. It's a selective bias when it comes to bringing on attractive men.

Again, don't you worry. Your personality is awesome, man.
