Public School Has Been Nominated for Two CFDA Awards

Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School could win the Menswear Designer of the Year Award for the second year in a row.

Every year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) gives awards to designers who have made outstanding contributions to the industry, and to people in related jobs, including journalists and stylists. The nominations for the 2015 CFDA Awards have been announced, and Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School are on the short list for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear category, as well as the Menswear Designer of the Year category, which they won last year.

Public School has been winning every industry award there is, so the nomination does not come as a surprise. Chow and Osborne show no signs of slowing down either, with a new Jordan Brand collaboration on the way, and other projects in the pipeline that will continue to show why the designers are two of the best in the game right now.

Other nominees in the Menswear Designer of the Year category are David Neville and Marcus Wainwright for Rag & Bone, Thom BrowneTim Coppens, and Tom Ford, and other nominees for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear include Rosie Assoulin and Ryan Roche. Other notable nominations include Shayne Oliver of Hood By Air for the Swarovski Award for Menswear, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors for Womenswear Designer of the Year, and Alexander Wang for the Accessory Designer of the Year Award.

Instagram will also take home this year's Media Award at the ceremony, which will take place on June 1 at Lincoln Center.
