While we argued that you needed to ditch the man bun, it turns out women are actually into the (trendy?) hairstyle. A site called WhatsYourPrice.com conducted a study and found that a large majority—76 percent to be exact—of women prefer man buns.
The site surveyed over 67,400 people and broke down its findings by age demographics. Women over 35 were least in favor of the updo, with only 37 percent of them reacting positively to the longer look. However, it was women between the ages of 18 and 24 that responded with a resounding yes to the man bun—82 percent of people in that age group said they preferred it.
Brandon Wade, CEO and founder of WhatsYourPrice.com, explains, "Men brave enough to wear chic and edgy hairstyles have a primal appeal that many women simply can't resist.”
