The Best (And Most Ridiculous) Looks From New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015: Part II

NYFW started with a bit of a whimper, but midway through the week, it gained momentum as some of the big names began showing. Obviously, there was Kanye, but Robert Geller came through a couple days later, complete with Kanye himself in the front row, and Public School showed why it's still the most talked about brand in the entire city, raking in award after award. Just one more installment to go as we put a bow on F/W 15, so, until then, click through to remind yourself why you're only eating Ramen for the next few months.

This was one of Robbie's strongest collections in a while. He ditched some of the darker colors and brought out some brighter reds and blues, along with sandy browns. It almost made be want a bunch of silk scarves.

He also channeled a little bit of Rick's DRKSHDW with this short parka. What a fucking banger. Huge coats are still dope (as we'll see), but maybe the new outerwear trend is going to be shorter jackets.

Just look at this fire styling, fam. TUCKING THE JACKET INTO THE PANTS. This is patented "looks cool on the runway, but will get you endlessly made fun of IRL" if we've ever seen it.

What would a new Geller collection be without a new Common Projects collaboration? Ankle-zip boots and derbies with the strap across the forefoot that look kind of like Thom Browne. BRAVO. Well done all around.

Sleeveless coats are so fucking on trend they make me want to throw up. But the dopest thing to appreciate about this is the little phrase toward the hem that reads: "Acid In My Heart." Shit's my new life mantra.

The topcoats at Coppens were basically inspired by Jedi Council meetings, or so I heard.

This is basically a basketball turned into a jacket. I can't tell if I like it or hate it to be quite honest with you.

Distressed and ripped pants: good look.

Pants with an exact cut-out for your knee: not a good look.

HBA was terrifying with the pantyhose over the face and the makeup, but this camel coat is kind of fire. HBA's most wearable yet?

J.Lo ain't got shit on this thigh-high slit. We love long shirts, but this is just completely fucking ridiculous.

Guarantee we see Rihanna in this shit sometime soon and it actually looks good.

The styling at Public School was so goddamn on point thanks to living layer legend Eugene Tong. Everything here is straight up "I want to buy every single thing in the look."

Tights under shorts! Men are taking back tights!. This flight jacket/bomber hybrid is also fucking fuego.

However, the thing I want most from this collection is this huge flannel-checked jacket. Look how brolic you can be even if you are decidedly un-brolic such as myself. You could live in this thing. Spoiler alert: The rent's never been higher.

I tried to put on a bomber over a topcoat yesterday to get street styled and look cool, but it's, like, borderline impossible. I still want to try it because, as you can clearly see here, it is a very dope look.

Ervell had absurdly large pants and weird orthopedic sneakers that were a bit of a turn off to be honest. However, the cinched-waist blouson game was particularly strong.

He also continued his Patagonia game with some strong fleece-y jackets.

He even took it a step further with this phenomenal Snap-T rip.

Do you want Saint Laurent's instant classic varsity jacket, but, like, in a cardigan? The Ovadia twins got you covered with this sweater that is hefty enough to be a jacket in and of itself.

You should be aware that the angle of your dangle is directly related to your stunt level. And this dude's stunt level is on a hundred thousand trillion. Also, patchwork sweaters are kind of the new wave. If you have the matching sweater-scarf set, that's a whole lot of look.

A dinner cloth bomber jacket from Timo is your new best mid-layer friend.

The vibes at J.Lindeberg rode into the wind with its signature rocker aesthetic. This is how you glo the fuck up.

Things also departed a little bit with the band collar shirts. The most important element of the look here is the footwear, python embossed ankle boots. Why do I all of a sudden like python print? I don't know. I've stopped asking questions and just going with.

Anoraks are still on a tear and Richard Chai made arguably the best version of the week with the zips on the sleeve cuffs. Wah-wah-wee-wah, my anorak *super relevant Borat voice*.

I might say that a full grey fits is boring, BUT this is decidedly not. That hoodie looks like it came straight out of Raf's laboratory.

The most laziest, obvious Royal Tenenbaums reference ever. But still kind of dope if you've got the juice to pull it off.

The sad thing about this glorious Lacoste topcoat is that it will never see the light of day, much like every Lacoste runway show. They just want to keep selling polos with fucking alligators on them. Pour one out for the jawnz, fam.
