The Alabama native has the ability to weave together old school pieces with an overall luxe look we can get behind and a balance that, even if you are in head-to-toe Billy, won't make you look like you just got off your morning shift as a ranch hand. MSL by Billy Reid is the brand's foray into a higher pricepoint with a collection focused on wholly made in the USA goods. It sounds a bit like a #menswear 1.0 blog post from 2009, doesn't it? Well, it doesn't look like one. Only its second season, MSL is mixing a little alcohol with the fruit punch so to speak. The anorak love fest continues with Billy's own take, while classic Americana staples like suede truckers, shearling jackets and overshirts bring warranted comparison to RRL. There was even a chunky sweater that when folded up looked like a cardigan at first, but upon further inspection had no button closure and draped like your favorite noragi you don't own.
