Delikatessen Spring/Summer 2015 Is For The Summer On Walden Pond

Amsterdam-based Delikatessen has the thoughtful, pensive lookbook down pat and their S/S 15 collection is just that. They even sent over some notes to accompany the lookbook and they spend most the time explaining Fava beans and how important beans in general were in ancient societies (i.e. used in voting) and, thus, going back to our roots. That is some very thoughtful rationale behind making clothes that are both subtle and simple, but use great fabrics from France, Italy, Japan and Portugal. If you're in the middle of writing a book and really need to get it done, this is the stuff you should wear when you inevitably go seeking solitude in the woods. You want to feel put together and professional enough to be a published author, but you're not about to sit at your desk in a full suit. And you don't want to look like a total slob either because, again, you're supposed to be a published author. Plus, that cabin you're staying in probably doesn't have the best air conditioning. It's all about letting your thoughts breathe with the lightweight linen when you're chilling on Walden Pond.
