Mario Balotelli Covers Victory Journal's "Heroes & Villains" Issue

The eighth issue of the Brooklyn-based sports and photography journal is one of the best yet.

Victory Journal is one of those zines that's hard to give justice to online. In all honesty, it's as much a magazine at the intersection of sports and photography as it is an art book. For Victory's eighth issue, they've taken the theme of "Heroes & Villains," citing "ever-changing shades of grey where hated rivals transform into figures of admiration" as inspiration. Fittingly, the cover has the polarizing Mario Balotelli on it, and inside, there are previously unpublished images of Florence Griffith Joyner by Henry Leutwyler and wrestler Ann Casey by Jeff Maysh.

In the words of Victory's founders, "this issue is built on actions, reputations, and myths." Get a preview of it below and buy it on their website for $16.
