I fucking love casual but still kind of dressy trousers. Generally, they're wool and in the case of these trousers from Garbstore (available in navy and grey herringbone), can be paired with a corresponding jacket to make a pretty great casual suit. Pairings aside, check out the pocket game on these pants. I love weird pockets on pants. They can make everyday interactions a little more complicated because your wallet is now in an oddly shaped pocket, but if you think about it correctly, that little social stumble works to your advantage, giving you even more time to try and say something witty to a barista. My go to, after they ask me how I'm doing, is to say, "Can't complain...not that you'd want to listen anyway!" It's such a good one because it lets 'em know I'm socially patterned enough to know I have to interact with you, but I'm cutting this conversation off at the jump, all while simultaneously demonstrating I have some semblance of a sense of humor.
