DJ Collective Future Brown Performed for Art Basel Miami Beach With Acrobats on Water Jetpacks

Performers on Flyboards did tricks behind Future Brown's show in Miami.

On Thursday night in Miami, DJ collective Future Brown, made up of Fatima Al Qadiri, Nguzunguzu, and J-Cush of Lit City Trax, put on a performance that combined music, visuals, and acrobats on water jetpacks. The event, titled PAMM Presents Future Brown Featuring Kelela, took place at the Pérez Art Museum Miami to celebrate the art institution's one-year anniversary. It also comes right after the announcement of Future Brown's debut album, set to be released on Feb. 24 via Wrap Records.

Inspired by Miami's waterfront and the architecture of the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Future Brown created an explosive piece where they played music while Kelela, who will appear on the collective's debut album, delivered live vocals. Total Freedom, Ian Isiah, and Maluca all appeared as guest performers. During the show, people on Flyboards hovered above the Biscayne Bay, doing tricks above and in the water. The show was one of the unique experiences that draws so many people to Art Basel Miami Beach every year.
