SSUR*PLUS has unveiled its Guersace Fall 2014 release of apparel emblazoned with a mash-up of historical, fashion, and pop culture references. The streetwear brand is known for drawing inspiration from unexpected places. Earlier this year, it released a capsule collection that referenced an infamous shootout in North Hollywood that occurred during the late '90s.

The new release takes things one step further, using the brand's "Rebel Ape," which is a combination of the famous image of Che Guevara and Planet of the Apes, and then wrapping the logo in a Versace-inspired link chain. It's a clever combination befitting of the release's similarly mashed-up name, Guersace. The line's name and logo are put on a range of apparel, including a sweater, T-shirt, hoodie, snapback, and beanie.

Planet of the Apes clearly made a lasting impression on streetwear brands—BAPE's name was inspired by the movie and the brand has paid homage to it with collections before

The clothes are available on SSUR*PLUS's website now.
