This past Friday was a good day for shoppers across America, many of whom returned home satisfied with their Black Friday purchases. Those in Los Angeles, however, have another reason to celebrate. Shinola, a Detroit-based brand best known for its watches, bicycles, journals, and leather goods, opened its first West Coast store in L.A.

The 1,100 square-foot store is situated in the heart of L.A.'s Silver Lake neighborhood at 3515 W. Sunset Blvd. It's a fitting location for the brand, which prides itself in creating quality, American-made wares.

"Silver Lake's long-standing embrace of the arts community along with its diverse make-up closely aligns with Shinola's brand qualities," Steve Bock, the company's CEO, said in a press statement. "It's the ideal setting to open our first flagship location on the west coast."

To those wanting to check out the store, it's open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sundays, the store is open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. In the meantime, check out pictures of the store interior and the products available below.
