Team cosyboys, get ready, because British streetwear label Roux. have some sweet options for your Fall/Winter 2014 wardrobe. The brand grew out of a partnership between fashion designer Greg White and the people behind advertising agency Kastner and Partners in London (K&P). Drawing on 10 years’ experience living and working in London’s Soho district, they are inspired by the people, architecture and style that embody the area, and infuse the clothes with the same qualities.

The latest release from Roux. focuses on the qualities of bold contrasts, and takes inspiration from the artistic technique of Chiaroscuro, literally meaning ‘light and dark’ and how the strength of darkness often defines light. To fully highlight the relationship between light and darkness, the project, shot by renowned street photographer Mr Whisper, relies completely on the natural shadows and highlights the city creates, and uses no additional lighting. The continuous focus on the angles and obliques of the city is a distinctive trademark for the young brand.

The collection consists of a tonal black-on-black varsity jacket and shirt, contrasting sweatshirts and joggers in a lighter grey marl, wearing white mesh panelling, and three black-on-black T-shirt designs, limited to 48 prints each. The young brand is quite clearly making a mark on the industry, and definitely has some big things to come.
