Activewear specialist AETHER has recently opened the doors to its first Los Angeles flagship store, just blocks away from its main headquarters.
Situated in the La Brea design district, the 4,000 square-foot industrial space was designed by longtime collaborator Thierry Gaugain, who also spearheaded the layouts for AETHER’s San Francisco and New York store locations. However, this time around, the brand wanted to up its game and create the “ultimate adventure store,” in which patrons could simultaneously shop and plan their next outdoor adventure.
Unique elements of the flagship include a 13-by-13-foot wood cabana to house the walk-in freezer for gear testing and dressing rooms, 45 custom wood crates with LED lights to showcase merchandise, and massive glass garage doors to lend an open-space vibe throughout.
The store will carry its full collections of technical products as well as items from third-party brands like Black Diamond, Joey Roth, Snow Peak, and Boosted Boards.
