I have no idea what qualifies a garment as having a "technical knit," but I can say I definitely like what's happening with this particular Patrik Ervell cardigan. Maybe it's because it's almost 50% polyurethane? That must be it. Now, I don't know what exactly to call the collar, but it's something a little different, like a teensy, tiny shawl collar shrunken down for cardigan use. I imagine college English professors wear items like this a lot. In fact, I know they do because I took a lot of English classes in college and saw that shit firsthand. Like, they even wear them in the most brutal heat of the summer. Then, when you ask them why they wear sweaters in 90 degree weather, they tell you they haven't been outside all day, since they've been reading term papers and their office has ten air conditioning vents so it's absolutely frigid at all times. And, even though they told the class they quit smoking at the beginning of the semester, they sometimes forget to remove the pack (soft, of course) from the chest pocket. Man, English professors are somehow simultaneously the best and the worst.
