Just ask aspiring model Milana Aslani, who insists her striking resemblance to Kim Kardashian has stopped her career from taking off. That’s right, while some women have dropped thousands of dollars to look like the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star, the 27-year-old Los Angeles resident says her celebrity doppelganger has prevented her from landing a slew of modeling and TV gigs.
Though Aslani admits that Kim hasn’t actually done anything to hinder her career, she is fed up with people thinking she’s another Kardashian-wannabe—insisting her looks are the only thing they have in common. Oh, and the fact that they’re also from the same area, come from an affluent background, share an Armenian heritage, and have had some sort of relationship with Ray J.
“I do a lot of fashion shoots but I believe resembling Kim K has ruined my modeling and reality TV career,” she said in a recent video interview. “She has a lot of fans, they love her style, they love her make-up, however there’s no talent behind her work and what she does and why she is who she is.”
It’s clear the struggle is very real for the blogger/jewelry designer.
