The Seattle brand Maiden Noir is returning with a lookbook that fits its brooding name, entitled "Into The Darkness."  The collection references the brand's strong tie to the Pacific Northwest, an area with quickly-shrinking daylight hours as we move into fall or as the brand puts it "As the season wares away and the weather turns bitterly cold, the colors of our surroundings become muted and the air is consistently damp."  This means lots of muted color schemes in the collection, greys, greens and blacks.

The pieces themselves include a range of good Seattle gear, ranging from quilted vests to parkas and thicker windbreakers. Some of the standout pieces are a bandana print scarf and a grim-looking color-blocked flight jacket.  Also impressive are the quilted vests, made in collaboration with Crescent Downworks.  The vests don't come cheap, at a $500 pricetag, but the Italian down and the thick wool lining, plus the deerksin buttons make it a way to brave the cold in luxury.

You can waltz into darkness yourself with the lookbook here and shop the collection at Maiden Noir's online store.
