Patagonia Have a New Nano-Air Technology That's Changing the Insulation Game

And it could have a real impact.

When it comes to weather protection and outerwear, Patagonia's ethos is to improve, innovate and refine. The brand has been producing clothes for climbers for more than thirty years and that experience—plus being founded and run by climbers—means they know exactly what their customers want.

For Fall/Winter '14 the brand has developed a new Nano-Air technology and applied it to a hoody and jacket. The Nano-Air products are highly breathable, but maintain their warmth thanks to the exclusive combination of Full-Range insulation and nylon fabric, and the man they have to thank for the breakthrough is also the man behind the iconic Patagonia Down sweater.

This technology could change the math when it comes to how you dress for cold weather; no more having to put on or take off your jacket every time you visit an overheated shop or catch an over-crowded train. Imagine that heaven for a moment.
