Nick Cannon may be using retail therapy to get his pending divorce from Mariah Carey off of his mind. The 33-year-old commissioned Beverly Hills jeweler Jason Arasheben to customize a pair of Tom Ford slip-ons, which he wore during last night's America's Got Talent finale. The shoes are covered in 14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set onto white gold, with a staggering total weight of 340 carats. Cannon dropped a hefty $2 million for the sparkling pair.

The ostentatious footwear was a calculated move by Cannon; the shoes took over a year to create. Arasheben explained to WWD, "When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over-the-top. He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds. ‘How can we make the most expensive pair of shoes in the world and make this finale special?’ he asked me.” The shoes have since attracted the attention of the Guinness Book of World Records and are currently under review as candidates for the Most Valuable Pair of Shoes in the world.

The two-day finale of America’s Got Talent continues tonight, so tune in if you want to catch a glimpse of Cannon's ridiculously fancy feet.
