Biggie's Brooklyn is long gone and nowhere is that more clear than the arrival of retail powerhouse J. Crew on the scene. However, the titans of preppy cool are still doing a lot to preserve local flavor, with this first-ever Brooklyn boutique featuring art and design by local artists and preserving pieces the building's original architecture. For the opening weekend there will be food carts and a special tote bag from Greg LaMarche.
Some of the cooler features include a "living wall" of plants and greenery at the men's entrance and a digital collage by Brooklyn artist Naomi Reis. Also worth checking out is the building itself, a mix of the original architecture, work by J. Crew itself, and design by local firm AMMA Studios.
Become a part of the new Brooklyn yourself at 234 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211 or shop the looks online with J. Crew's online store.
