On Sept. 13, 1994, Biggie Smalls dropped Ready to Die and changed hip-hop forever. This month, The Bishop gallery in Brooklyn will open "The Only Christopher We Acknowledge Is Wallace," an exhibition curated by DJ Clark Kent that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the rapper's classic album.

The title of the exhibition is a lyric from "Oceans," a song on Jay Z's album Magna Carta Holy Grail. Christopher Wallace is of course Biggie's real name, and DJ Clark Kent was the one who introduced the Brooklyn natives to one another in the studio back in 1996, so this art exhibition is the perfect storm of three powerhouses in the hip-hop world. The exhibition kicks off on Sept. 20 on Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For more information, head to the gallery's website.
