Brandon Stanton started taking photographs of all the strange and beautiful characters that make up New York City four years ago. Initially, he planned to take 10,000 portraits of New Yorkers, but as he began collecting his subjects' stories, the project grew into Humans of New York, a photo blog filled with diverse portraits and touchingly honest quotes.

By now, Stanton's celebrity has grown to an extent that many New Yorkers recognize HONY. So when comedian Tyler Fischer posed as Stanton (who is currently on a world tour sponsored by the United Nations), he had no trouble getting people to pose for photographs. Fischer takes awkward close-ups, blurry shots, and walks away in the middle of peoples' stories all while dragging the HONY name through the mud. The results are hilarious.
