A Closer Look at the Supreme X Stone Island Raso Gommato Cover Nero Jacket

The highlight of the Fall/Winter 2014 Collaboration

Stone Island was born from C.P. Company in 1982, and has since found its own niche in the outerwear game and pushed the boundaries of garment making further than anybody thought they could be pushed. Nurturing a culture of research and experimentation, while playing with the boundaries of form and function is what defines Stone Island as a step above the rest in terms of their pure outerwear steez, and their colour lab work—which pushes effects onto the finished item through dyeing and treatment techniques—is unparalleled.

Stone Island has teamed up with Supreme for Fall/Winter 2014, and the unquestionable highlight of the collection is the Raso Gommato Cover Nero jacket. Available in three colours—black, yellow and woodland camo—the jacket is a throwback to Stone Island's C.P. Company roots, with the stow-away hoods coming with the trademark goggles attached. The branding on the jackets has been kept beautifully minimal, with the outer shell sporting only the Stone Island arm patch, and the removable down lining featuring a small printed Stone Island/Supreme/2014 detail on the bottom back—also featured on the hood of the outer shell.

We've got to be honest, the £950 price tag for the jacket is a little steep, but its not like we wouldn't be tripping over ourselves to buy it if the opportunity came around. As always though, this collab will be super limited, despite being available at select Stone Island stores as well as the Supreme stores.

Check out some more images of the jacket below, and make sure you're refreshing the Supreme webstore from 10:55 on Thursday morning.
