BAPE is set to drop its latest collaboration tomorrow, and for long-time fans of the brand this will be a special one. In conjunction with the Japanese release of the latest Planet of the Apes movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, BAPE will release a comprehensive capsule collection that includes graphic T-shirts, crewnecks, and hoodies.

BAPE founder Nigo is a huge fan of the movie franchise, with a famously large collection of movie memorabilia. The movie even inspired the Bathing Ape name, with Nigo telling Pig Magazine in 2006, "I was spending my evenings with my friend Shin, when one evening we were watching a TV program called 'Yo!! Rap City', I told Shin that I was going to start a clothing line. Shin suggested we start it together. We thought more about it and one night we saw a movie called 'Planet of the Apes'. We liked it a lot. So much in fact, the next day we met up and decided to take some inspiration from it: we called our new brand A Bathing Ape®."

Some of the more notable pieces include a hoodie where the movie title art gets the BAPE camo treatment, and a T-shirt and crewneck which combines the famous BAPE head with a menacing movie still. Check out the full collection below and look out for the release of the A Bathing Ape x Planet of the Apes capsule collection starting tomorrow.
