These days, it seems like every rapper wants to also be known as a fashion icon. Lyrics are now inundated with mentions of vaunted designer names, and nearly every single artist spends as much time putting together a neck-snapping red carpet look (for better or for worse) as they do flexing on Instagram with pics of the latest niche brand they just came up on.
But if today's biggest rappers want to truly be style aficionados, then they have to be familiar with every aspect of the industry. That includes being the face of a brand and putting in work for high-fashion campaigns and magazine editorials. Between recording albums and learning how to properly pronounce "Balmain," we worked with Internet-favorite PeejeT to put together a trove of hip-hop artists attempting to literally become the face of fashion. Check out Rappers in Ridiculous Fashion Photoshoots and try not to be too mentally scarred.
