A$AP Rocky scored yet another magazine cover, this time gracing the front of i-D Magazine's current "Girls + Boys" issue. Lord Flacko, who was at the forefront of blending classic streetwear with high-end fashion, rocks a Stussy hat, Balenciaga boots, Saint Laurent jeans, Marigela jacket, and a Calvin Klein T-shirt in the above photograph from the magazine's editorial.

In the online excerpt from the full article, Rocky explains why the darkness of his fashion choices and his music run parallel with one another. "My music, like my passion for fashion, is really dark at times. I’m capable of making a happy song here and there, not quite Pharrell’s 'Happy,' but I prefer dark fashion and dark music. I was born in the dark, I create in the dark, I work in the dark, I make love in the dark. It means life," the modern day style icon tells the venerable British publication.

As for designing his own line, just because Dat PMF is as knowledgeable and passionate about fashion as anyone in the game, don't hold your breath if you're hoping for a brand from the 25-year-old. “I wouldn’t design," he explains. "I would collab. I’m not a fashion designer." Fans of Rocky's sense of fashion and aesthetic might be disappointed, but his reasoning for abstaining is more mature than you might think. "I have too much respect for it. Imagine if Rick Owens or Alexander Wang said, ‘I’m gonna be the next rapper.’ Fucking up the game and shit.” If not designing means further focus on the music, we're fine with that.

Read the full excerpt over on i-D, where Rocky speaks about the goals of his art, and his philosophies on everything from environmentalism to feminism. Oh yeah, and as for his drug of choice, it seems Rocky's off that lean. Currently, “My inspiration now is from psychedelics and shit. LSD, I love it. It almost makes you feel like you’re the best creator next to God.”
