Those fortunate enough to be in New York City this Wednesday are in for a treat, especially those who like street art. If you've ever wanted to try your hand at tagging a wall, SIXTY Hotels and ANIMAL NEW YORK are presenting you with an opportunity to do so, and alongside graffiti collective Smart Crew, too.

To celebrate the rebranding of the hotel, Smart Crew will transform the second floor of SIXTY SoHo (formerly the Thompson Hotel) into the site of an immersive installation. Crew members DCEVE, SNOEMAN, ELMO, and others will work on the piece before and during the show.

"Graffiti and its practitioners are central to the cultural and artistic history of New York City," SIXTY Hotels founder and art enthusiast Jason Pomeranc said in a press release. "The upcoming renovation of SIXTY SoHo presented us with a moment in time when our first hotel could become a blank canvas and be transformed into something more."

Additionally, Smart Crew will also create graffiti-themed activity book pages directly onto the walls of the event space (including paint-by-numbers and mazes for example) so guests can tag and color to their hearts' content.

The event kicks off May 14 at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. If you want to go, you'll have to RSVP to Animal New York. Hopefully the guest list isn't already all filled.
