If there was a real differentiation between streetwear and actual fashion brands, it was what they produced. Streetwear was primarily limited to the basics: T-shirts, caps, and hoodies, with beanies for winter. In other words, things that could be ordered in bulk and didn't require much thought beyond what colors to order and what graphics to use. It also kept things simple for the consumer, who could switch allegiances without changing their look at all.
