Green Energy Motors is solving the problems of global warming and morning commutes with one device: the Commute-Case. The product is operated by a lithium-ion battery that can power the scooter for 25 miles, offering a clean way to get to work in the morning. Because its also a briefcase, the Commute-Case provides the green commuter a hassle-free way to transport work materials.
Switching back and forth between vehicle and handy receptacle couldn’t be easier: all you have to do is press a button. The scooter can support up to 275 pounds and, because it’s top speed is 12.5 mph, it doesn’t require its user to have a license.
Possible downsides to this innovative device include the briefcase’s heftiness (weighing in at 27 pounds) and, of course, it’s retail value. At full price, it will cost you a whopping $5,990, but prudent buyers can take advantage of the company’s sale, and purchase the Commute-Case on Green Energy Motor’s website for $2,995 for a limited time.
