This week, Tatia Pilieva's First Kiss video of strangers making out went viral online, pulling at the heartstrings of millions who believed that what they were seeing was the power of love. Sadly, it was all a lie. According to Slate, Pilieva's video is actually an ad for Wren Studio, a womenswear brand based in Los Angeles. The "strangers" are actually trained actors and musicians, including Damian Kulash of OK Go and Italian model Natalia Bonifacci. "The video peddles the fantasy that beauty can spring from an unexpected connection between two random people, but what it's really showing us is the beauty of models making out," writes Amanda Hess

In all fairness, the people in the video could still be classified as "strangers" by definition, but that's like calling a kid who plays Call of Duty for 12 hours a day "an amateur." Never trust the Internet.
