In an almost surreal appearance, President Obama visited a Gap in Midtown Manhattan yesterday. So what was the POTUS doing at the mall retailer? Shopping for his daughters and the First Lady apparently.

"I think the ladies will be impressed by my style sense," said Obama as he looked through the racks. When he up a modest V-neck pullover, Obama replied, "I'm worried the V-neck is going to slip."

Maybe he was also buying more dad jeans. We all know how much Obama loves going normcore.

If his dad-sensibilities weren't strong enough, he also brought the jokes about the credit card machine, where he was also offered a Gap credit card (guess they can't even give the POTUS a break).

While he may be leaving his daughters with their eyes rolling, it's nice to know that the chief of the nation is still a dad at heart.

Obama dropped by the store as well to show his support for the company's decision to increase employee wages, as per his State of the Union address.
