For the last six years, the UK’s Upfest in Bristol, the largest urban arts festival in Europe, has attracted more and more artists, viewers, and volunteers, making the Bedminster event a worldwide destination of high regard. And yet, festival organizers announced this week that Upfest won’t happen in 2014, citing community fatigue as one reason behind the bye year.

"We thought it was time to sit back and decide which way we wanted the festival to go,” Stephen Hayles, the festival’s founder, told the Bristol Post. He plans for the festival to return in 2015.

Last year, more than 25,000 people attended the festival, according to the Bristol Post.
