Creative Time has announced that New York-based artist Kara Walker will take over the 90,000-square-foot Domino Sugar refinery in Brooklyn to install her first large-scale public project this May. Entitled "A Subtlety," the installation is said to cover a range of subject matters including "the history of sugar and its many implications." In a statement for Creative Time, Walker wrote " A Subtlety, or the Marvelous Sugar Baby an homage to the unpaid and overworked Artisans who have refined our Sweet tastes from the cane fields to the Kitchens of the New World on the Occasion of the demolition of the Domino Sugar Refining Plant."

Even without a preview, we are excited to see this project. We will update you on any news that surfaces about this over the next few months.
