Harold Ancart opened two solo shows this fall, among them Anaconda Standard at C L E A R I N G in Brooklyn, where he presented his most recent sculptures, photographs and vibrant large scale oil stick based drawings. On this occasion, Ancart also released a limited edition artist monograph, entitled Tomorrow, published by Triangle Books. Ancart had two other solos in 2013, at Xavier Hufkens in Brussels and Veneklasen/Werner in Berlin. He also participated in the group exhibitions "I knOw yoU" at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, "A Stone Left Unturned" at Yvon Lambert in Paris, "Harold Ancart," "Kristin Baker," "Mark Barrows" at Galerie Perrotin - Saint Claude in Paris, and "Champs Elysées" at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris. The new year will see participation in a group show at Casey Kaplan, New York. Ancart holds an MFA from La Cambre in Brussels.
