Though 2013 may have been a big year for the art world, 2014 has shown no signs of slowing down in terms of game-changing exhibitions. In just a few weeks, "Based on Actual Events," a group exhibition celebrating the works of hyperrealistic painters Alyssa Monks, Diego Koi, Eloy Morales, and Joel Rea will open at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Jeff Koons' highly anticipated retrospective at the Whitney Museum arrives in June, and Ai Weiwei's most exciting show yet, "Ai Weiwei on Alcatraz," will hit the Bay Area island in September.
