The Design Exchange, a non-for-profit museum in Canada, wants to open a very cool exhibition and they have launched this Kickstarter campaign because they need your help. Entitled "This Is Not a Toy," the exhibition will consider urban vinyl toys (also known as designer toys) as "accessible art and design objects, unique contemporary cultural signifiers and fetishistic commercial products." Works by artists and designers including KAWS, Michael Lau, Frank Kozik, Takashi Murakami, Doma, FriendsWithYou, and Yoshitomo Nara will be representing in the exhibition which will be co-curated by Pharrell WilliamsJohn Wee Tom, and Sara Nickleson, associate curator at Design Exchange.

A particularly exciting portion of the exhibition is the time-based installation. Visitors will be armed with paintball guns and will participate in customizing 150 seven-inch Munny figures. That alone should be reason enough to make a donation.

Speaking of donations, the Kickstarter pledge rewards for the "This Is Not a Toy" campaign are pretty awesome. In addition to digital catalogs, tote bags designed by Blok Design, stickers, sketches, and Design Exchange memberships, generous donors can walk away with one of ten 18" Munnys, customized by Jeremy Laing, Bruce Mau Design, Sid Lee Collective, Blok Design, Rhed, Castor Design, Team Macho, Julie Moon, Doublenaut  and Bruno Billio.
