On January 21, the Socrates Sculpture Garden will visit the island of Manhattan for an exhibition entitled "Fact of the Matter." Nine sculptural artists, each artistically tied to a certain material, will present works at the 1285 Avenue of the Americas Art Gallery. Jarrod Beck, Chakaia Booker, Mark di Suvero, Tony Feher, Hugh Hayden, Jeffry Mitchell, Richard Nonas, Ursula von Rydingsvard, and Alyson Shotz have all presented pieces at the garden's home in Queens and will now show at least one piece in what Socrates is calling "distinct bay areas" at the Manhattan space, with another collective area of photographs, objects, and designs that show the creative processes of the nine sculptors.
