Life + Times catches up with London’s Trapstar to get a little background info on the up-and-coming brand. Trapstar began like any streetwear startup with collections consisting with just tees and hoodies. But its designers have always strived to be different and innovative from the start. The packaging for their product was initially delivered in custom pizza boxes.

They’ve come a long way since making their first big break at Supra. Today, its designers are positioning itself more to target the high-end market. The recent partnership with London’s iconic department store Selfridges should be an indication that the brand is making all the right moves. Certainly far from the estates many of the members grew up in. Sounds fancy, but in London, those are the projects.

Check out the short, but in-depth video above to learn more about the brand and its beginnings.
