AMI Spent Some Of Its $250,000 Prize Money On An Actual Web Store

None

For those of you that haven’t been informed, Parisian label AMI has been having a hell of a year. The brand’s designer Alexandre Mattiussi has straight up crushed the last six months, with a slew of glowing endorsements from Vogue Korea, GQ and, of course, the only shit that matters, Thee Pinz. This has all been compounded by Mattiussi’s 2013 ANDAM Fashion Award, the proverbial nail in his lily gilded coffin of fucking victory.

So, what did Mattiussi spend his 250 well-deserved stacks of fashion fund guap on? Rather than opt for a private table, 9,000 French honeydips and a bottle of Bordeaux’s finest (though, admittedly, that would be pretty baller) Mattiussi went and flexed his not-inconsiderable business acumen by opening the AMI e-shop. The brand’s exceptionally curated layout includes a back catalogue of all existing collections, Mattiussi’s own micro-blog and, would ya look at that, an actual online store. At present, the e-store is only carrying gear from the F/W 13 collection, but with many of that season’s styles sold out elsewhere (including that bangin' French flag crew) you’ll have more than enough gear for some mentally masturbation.
