Gabe Johary is an 18-year-old Parisian who is a big fan of Kanye West. He doesn't consider himself an artist, but he was inspired by the Yeezus Tour to create a series of sketches that are pretty impressive for armature fan art.
"I'm a huge fan of Kanye. I don't classify me as an artist, but I really like drawing things that I instantly see (just like this one I did)," he wrote to us via email. "I used to draw everything but now I really enjoy drawing people, clothes (especially), and I'm obsessed with hip-hop style, you know? All of these silhouettes and those forms make me want to immortalize the moment on paper (really cliché I know haha...)."
Johary's drawings include moments where Kanye performs onstage, wearing one of his Maison Martin Margiela masks and couture clothing, as well as a sexy portrait of Kim Kardashian. He also depicts elements from Kanye's association with visual art, including the KAWS heart from the 808s and Heartbreak album cover and a Wes Lang skeleton, created especially for the Tour.
