Fresh off the success of the Chinese New Year Boot, Timberland teamed up with Jeff Staple of Staple Design for the Borroughs Project. Staple recruited five different artists, each from a different NYC borough, and had each one designed a boot that reflected their neighborhood and personal style.

Jeff Staple designed the above Manhattan-inspired boot, which the Complex team decided to strip down. A second black, white, and grey plaid pattern was revealed, which would shine through after you put these tough boots through the wringer and beat the original design to death.
