Artists Find Inspiration in Nike Innovation (Video)

For the International Art Fair of Rio de Janeiro (ArtRio) this year, Nike joined over 100 other curated galleries by showing their own art exhibition entitled "Nature Amplified: The Art + Science of Fit, Flex + Freedom.” The art in the exhibition drew inspiration form the Nike Free Flyknit, a shoe highly celebrated for its innovative design and construction. Artists featured included Gisela Motta and Leandro LimaUniversal Everything, and Davide Quayola and Natan Sinigaglia, with works ranging from sculptures to interactive installations.

Director and motion designer Emrah Gonulkirmaz was approached by the company to create a short film inspired by another model, the Nike Free Hyperfeel. Gonulkirmaz used a Nike Fuelband and the Nike+ Running App to gain information that informed his visualization of the running experience.
